Cambodian trip 2

it was the second day in Cambodia and we had decided to spend our day at those temples.. we booked a tuk tuk which cost us USD15 for whole day.. departure at 5am early in the morning bcz we wanted to see sun rise at Angkor Wat Temple..

1. Angkor Wat Temple
the tuk tuk driver brought us to buy the entrance fee for visiting those temples.. it cost USD20 per person for whole day.. the ticket booth was very far from the temple..
the time we arrived Angkor Wat temple was too late to see the sun rise.. the sun woke up earlier than us!
love the pct took by dear.. i wanted to take pct for Cindy but she taking photo on the temple.. haha
tada! Angkor Wat.. i always saw the TVB8 channel introduced it, finally i had the chance came here..
it was raining season, there will have 2 Angkor Wat because of the reflection on water..
in front of the Angkor Wat temple..
the temple was built in the first half of the 12th century.. some artifact was broken just like the lion in the pct, and the archaeology had recovered the broken artifacts..
as pct shown, some part of the Angkor Wat was under maintenance..
inside the temple..

2. Bayon Temple
next, the tuk tuk driver brought us to Bayon Temple.. it was people mountain people sea..
again, the broken artifact.. the head and arm were missing..
the door as frame.. :D
actually this was not the actual possing of us.. it was because i stood on the unstable rock.. i was quite nervous but yet it was a right time to take pct! :)
tada! finally we saw the symbol of the temple.. the smiling face statue.. the temple has 2 level..we used the staircase came up to the temple..
the temple was very crowded, even wan to take picture also need to wait sometimes.. everywhere is full of the smiling face statue..

me wz cindy keep possing wz the door.. ops no! is frame! hehe
the group photo of us at Bayon Temple.. =)
outside of the temple..

3. Baphuon Temple
next, visited to Baphuon Temple.. it look like temple run! LOL!
i heard one of the tour guide said that this is the rainbow bridge that will connect those time people to the heaven..
mid-way of the bridge! took this pct and love it so much!

4. Elephant Terace
the Elephant Temple..

5. Ta Prohm Temple
love this pct to the max! i wonder how old is the tree!! it looks so huge and the roof is so long.. thanks to him who is so professionally took this pic!!! *shy
i think this is my favourite temple in Siem Reap.. the tree is growing on top of the temple..
the back view!

6. Killing Field
after visiting those temples, the tuk tuk brought us to the Killing Field in Siem Reap.. there is a building with all human bones inside.. i dont dare to stand nearer and take pct.. it also show respect to them i think..

7. Tonle Sap
after that, there was no place to visit bcz the attraction is Siem Reap mostly are temples.. so we asked the tuk tuk brought us to Tonle Sap, since we already booked him for whole day.. he was so kind and he agreed to bring us go without additional charge.. (Tonle Sap is located quite far from city of Siem Reap.. it tooks half an hour to reach the destination by tuk tuk).
the boat cost us USD15 for each person! it was quite expensive and the people told us it is fixed price..
however, there was a couple of European tourists came to the counter, and the ticket seller charged them USD20.. gosh! then the tourists asked my friend how much is the boat, and my friend answered USD15.. the ticket seller quickly pull my friend away, and tell them the price is charge differently, and told her should not tell people how much we've been charged! it was very immoral!
the boat stopped us at the floating village..
there is a crocodile farm as well at the village..
then, they stopped us at the mid of Tonle Sap.. it is the largest lake in the South East Asia.. the time we visited was raining season in Cambodia.. the water level is extremely high.. it dont look like a lake, more like sea..
after that, the people in the boat told us that the floating village has many poor children, sometimes they dont have enough food for them.. then they asked us whether to buy some food for them or not.. then they brought us to the floating market.. one pack of rice, 50KG COST USD45! it was freaking kidding me! everytime i buy rice in Malaysia also not that expensive! the locals are cheating tourists! no wonder the hotel that we staying warned us about it.. it was true! i think the people had made bad impression, and for sure it will affect tourist arrival as well!
ended our whole day trip and thx to the driver! =D
lunch at the hotel lobby.. order the traditional food in Cambodia, it called Amok.. cost USD3.. there is two different Amok at here, one is soup, another one is dry.. i like dry one the most!
Khmer Curry.. cost USD3 as well.. it does not have strong curry taste, still acceptable for a non-spicy me..
at night we dine at FCC Angkor.. it was a fine dining restaurant, which was introduced by the tour application in my phone again.. we used free bicycle provided by hotel and ride to the restaurant..
the atmosphere is very romantic and most of the customers were foreigners..
frappuccino, USD4..
Bianco Verde, USD9.. very tasty and love it! it was pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, garlic, spinach, feta cheese with crispy bacon & parmesan cheese..
beef lasagna, USD8.50.. very delicious as well.. satisfied with overall, strongly recommend it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
after dinner, the night was still young and we went to night market..
it was people mountain people sea, most were foreigners as well..
in-front the night market.. it only open on night time.. tourist can buy the souvenir at here, and the price is negotiable..
while taking pct, one of the foreigner suddenly self post to take pct wz us! so cute! =D
have a drink at a cafe inside the night market bcz of the atmosphere and decoration.. the drinks are cheap as well..
our fruit juice! each for USD2 only! from left, mango juice, watermelon juice and banana juice!
cheers for the tired day yet unforgettable memories in mind! =)
