gawai in long house day.2..

2nd day le..around 5am,i still in my dream wz mr. chou,then i heard the bitting of the gong..they have a tradition like after u wake up,u have to bit the gong to show other ppl u woke up le..tiang tiang!!this is the long house we stayed..they are 15 PINTU in this long house..after bathing,we went machan bazaar to have our breakfast..opposite the river there is the oldest long house..we had our breakfast here.. the special thing is all the table will have this kind of food..u cn either eat or not n pay later..after breakfast,we went back..this is the main road back to long house..Rumah Kadom..they call this RUAI..very spacy n clean..this was the banana tree wz snacks for tonite activity..they decorated it in the early morning..a blessing ceremony by one of the PINTU..in the above pct is who wearing red colour clothes have to walk around the long house n throw some local POPCORN..tada..!!! floor were full of POPCORN..this mean good luck..^^

some of chi-chat at the RUAI..after the blessed food on the top of the roof, the ceremony considered finish..in the process of ceremony,they killed a pig..this was the pig heart..the smell realy....omg...

***after that,we went to take a nap..

in the evening,we went to visiting..iban's traditional is visit before new year..
visiting time.........at the RUAI,tuak is severed ...this was the food prepared by them..they not like chinese,our food is kuih only..

this dished was perpared by another room..realy tasty..nyamai..!!!haha

this was the traditional food of iban..call sarung semut..nyamai agi..hahadishes for MIRING by 1 of the PINTU..praying are like this lo..took a chicken then pass around ur head..ahahaha..dun scare tiok..this is jz aiskrim soda only..

***after visiting,we had a sleep again..realy tired..

around 9pm,there had a countdown activity..before that,my aunty perpared some presents for the kids below 12 yrs old..

haha..then the penghulu of the long house also prapared a present for her..while waiting the time,the iban ppl will cut the snacks from the banana tree..sign of good harvest..

at 12am..they all high qin..

all the ppl will take a glass of tuak n drink..this mean good luck in the new year..nyirup nyirup..haha

after drinking the tuak,we have to line up n shake hand wz them..

then we went to visit around 1am..realy diferent wz chinese..

b4 we went to sleep,still got some ppl dancing,singing or drink tuak..we dun dare go thr because scare they mabuk..

*something was happen a the night..this was my mum n sis told me cz i was sleeping,duno wat happened.....

...around 3am,the group jz nw dancing de came down n find us..they were all mabuk le..they knocked our door n shouted outside..they wanted to find ppl dancing wz them..we didnt wan to open our door n stayed quietly inside..then.....they kicked our door..=.=.....our door opened..haha..then they asked for "Rigina..!!!Rigina mana tuk?"hahahaha...then my mum jz pointed upstair..then they all went out from our room to look 4 rigina..then i jz knew what happened cz they dancing upstair realy scary..jz like the wood will broken..omggggg...but this was realy a different experience lo..XD
